Sarah Nasson, Director, has been dancing since she was five and has spent time studying ballet, jazz, tap and ballroom. She began studying baton twirling and color guard in 2000. She twirled for nearly three years at Eastern Greenbrier Junior and was the head majorette and feature twirler in 2003. She twirled in New Hampshire in 2003 as the feature twirler and helped her team become the Granite State Champions during their winter season. While in New Hampshire, she studied with the Red Stars baton company, directed by the incomparable Gina Hutchinson. Sarah has performed many times in Connecticut and began teaching color guard -including twirling- in 2005 at The Gilbert School. Sarah has marched with the Brigham Young University Cougar Marching Band as a member of the color guard since 2006. She has had the opportunity to perform at four collegiate bowl games and over 25 NCAA sporting events. Sarah loves performing, dancing, competing and teaching.

Sarah became the color guard director at Maple Mountain High School in Spanish Fork, Utah before the school opened in 2009. Since then, she has helped create an award-winning program, instructed many students at a variety of locations, choreographed several shows and watched her students receive numerous awards and accolades. Most importantly, she has watched her students learn, grow and believe that they CAN accomplish hard things. Sarah is currently the color guard director at Spanish Fork High School-one of the only schools in Utah that has competitive baton twirlers.
