Competition Teams
During the winter months, students wishing to participate on a team will have the opportunity to compete through the UCGC circuit. There are 6 competitions between January and the first weekend of April. Teams will meet an additional hour a week outside of class time to learn routines and get extra help with their twirling technique. Team schedules are set in such a way as to accommodate as many of the participants schedules as possible.

Junior Team:
No audition required. Great for younger students who want to be a part of a team, compete and spend more time twirling each week. Also an excellent preparation for the senior team. Junior team members are not required to take private lessons but are encouraged to do so.

Senior Team:
Audition. For advanced students who are wanting to take their skills to the next level. More performance and competition opportunities will be presented. Members of the senior team are required to have at least one private lesson a month. Senior team members also have the opportunity to teach private lessons to the younger students.

A few more details...
There are some additional expenses associated with participating on one of the teams. Uniforms, second batons, performance shoes (if not already purchased for class), competition entry fees etc. These expenses are kept to a minimum and will be set once teams are established. In general, the more members on a team, the lower the overall cost.
